Coconut, coconut, coconut: We use three different forms of coconut: coconut flakes, coconut palm nectar, and coconut oil. Coconut digests smoothly, and converting to an energy with minimal insulin effect. This means that with coconut comes consistent energy rather than a spike and a crash like most other sugars (think: eating candy). Coconut is so valued that in some Pacific Islander cultures it is called the “Tree of Life.”
We go NUTS for almonds
Blended almonds: This is the proverbial glue for Rickaroons. It serves to hold together our coconut and chocolate, while adding substantial benefits of its own. The primary benefit is a richness in protein. Nuts are commonly used by vegan and health nuts (pun!) to meet protein needs, especially by athletes looking for nutrient density. Almonds contain antioxidants, protein, monounsaturated fats and fiber. These all lead to lowering blood pressure, controlling blood sugar, and positive heart health. Did we mention it also tastes delicious?
Chocolate = Happiness
Dark Chocolate: We use dark chocolate because everyone loves chocolate. It also happens that it contains a wealth of antioxidants similar to blueberries, and green tea. Antioxidants are said to help cardiovascular disease, premature aging, and cancer. We aren’t saying Rickaroons will cure cancer, but it’s a nice thought with some truth to it.
Coconut Palm Nectar: Has a nutritional content richer than all other commercial sweeteners. High in potassium, magnesium, zinc, and iron. natural source of vitamins B1, B2, B3, and C.
Just A Hint of Vanilla
Vanilla: We use organic ground vanilla to compliments, amplify, and extend the taste profile of each bite of Rickaroons. Although the amount of vanilla in each Rickaroon is barely more than what can fit on the point of an almond, it is the perfect addition to our tasty treats.

Chia Seeds: Prized for their nutrients by the Aztecs and Mayan cultures, these are a prized energy booster. They are also known to contain high levels of omega-3s, carbohydrates protein, fiber, antioxidants, and calcium. chia seeds can be absorbed whole unlike flax seeds. The other reason we added them to the Megaroon is their delicious crunch.
Packs A Punch
Cacao Nibs: Packed with antioxidants (more than blueberries, pomegranates, and cranberries), it is one of the best sources of natural magnesium, critical for a happy and healthy heart. Cacao is a seed which contains many vital minerals our body needs to function.
Java, Java, Java
Espresso Beans: Eating coffee helps absorbs caffeine faster and gives you more antioxidants than drinking it. Antioxidants clean free radicals out of the bloodstream and are linked to the prevention of some diseases. Caffeine has nutritious benefits: boosting memory, relieving past workout muscle pain, and increasing level of dopamine.
Mint For Your Body
Mint: Has one of the highest antioxidants capacities of any food. It has also been known to improve oral health, clear up congestion, help lose weight, relieve fatigue and depression, increase memory retention and alertness, and promote digestion.
